Increase year-on-year factory direct productivity by 6%.
Strategy Applied
- Created a Multidisciplinary Working Group to tackle each metric (labor reduction and STD Hour reduction).
- Use Kaizens, VSM, A3, Ideas Programs, SMED, and plan all improvement opportunities in a matrix tied to a schedule with SMART goals and monthly checkpoints throughout the period.
- Create action plans to mitigate deviations from established goals throughout the period (recover an unmet goal).
- Monitor the effectiveness of modifications and gains.
Implemented Results
- Applying the PDCA cycle to this process as a whole, 6% productivity increase was achieved in the first year and 7% in the second year.
