Automotive Tier 1 supplier was experiencing inability to meet customer demand risking to shutdown OEM assembly line and not presenting sustainable reaction plan.

Strategy Applied

Onsite shopfloor Task Force OEM’s, Client and Supplier teams, identifying major risks, using systematic problem solving, shopfloor management and OEE improvement tools to increase capacity and delivery performance.
Level 1. Stop bleeding,
Level 2. Stabilize and 3. Improve.

Results

– Prevented OEM shutdown,
– OEE from 50% to above 85%.
> Right First Time from 70% to 99%
> Line availability from 80% to 90%
– Premium freight eliminated.
